New Influences Book Launch / Closing Party - Waterstones, 19th March

This small but beautiful book, produced by Cambridge Art Salon especially for this second Women Of Influence project, Female Voices, features a foreward by Mayor of Cambridge Gerri Bird, plus interviews with a range of inspirational women in the community - including bloggers, artists, poets, engineers and entrepreneurs - led by our Women Of Influence girls group from Romsey Mill.

Also included are photos of art in situ that's been exhibited or used during our project, from some of the UK's leading female artists using feminism in their practice, as well as photography portraits by My Linh Le, illustration from Louisa Taylor and award winning illustrator Aurora Cacciapuoti, plus feminist and inspirational typography from female designers Sensibly Insane and Rebecca Scambler.

You can also read poetry written by young female poet, Eva Day Hagger, plus photography of and quotes from The Women's Room, an art installation from Sa'adiah Khan commissioned for Female Voices by Cambridge Art Salon and funded by the Arts Council.

There's also a rare chance to see feminist nail wraps on show, as featured in Grazia magazine, Radio 4 and Stylist Magazine, featuring inspirational women such as founder of Every Day Sexism Laura Bates, poet Hollie Mcnish and activist Fahma Mohamed, designed for Women of Influence's Female Voices project by live artist Phoebe Davies with help from the Women Of Influence girls group from Romsey Mill.

Cambridge Waterstones, March 19th, 6pm - 7.30pm (doors close at 7pm).
