Portia Rosenberg Hosts The Big Draw in Cambridge - Call for Volunteers

The Big Draw

Portia Rosenberg is going to be running a 'Drawing Stall' for 'The Big Draw' during the first two weekends of October 2015: Saturday 3rd, Sunday 4th, Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th (with possible further dates).

'The Big Draw', as it says on their website,
'is the world's biggest drawing festival with thousands of enjoyable, and mainly free, drawing activities which connect people of all ages with museums, outdoor spaces, artists, designers, illustrators - and each other.  The Big Draw is for anyone who loves to draw, as well as those who think they can't!'.

A 'Drawing Stall' is Portia's idea of a way to encourage people to draw, as part of 'The Big Draw' festival – it will be a stall placed in busy locations in the centre of Cambridge, stocked up with donated drawing materials like paper/pencils/crayons, plus borrowed easels and things to lean on, so that anyone can come and have a go at drawing, for free, with encouraging people around to cheer them on.

If you would like to help with a stall – to help set it up, encourage people to come and draw, cheer them on while they have a go and help pack it all up, afterwards, get in touch. You don't have to be someone who draws to be involved, and there will be a rota so that people can help out for a specific time slot.

Lastly, if you play an instrument or know someone who does, let Portia know too - it could be fun to have music alongside!
