Biography / Company Profile: 

Apropos was started in North London by Gareth Wild in the Spring of 2000. He provides graphic design, art direction and cross-media design solutions including advertising and brand identity. Clients have included Reebok, Tommy Hilfiger, Helly Hansen, Faber & Faber, Channel Four and LOVE FiLM. Also smaller businesses, start-ups and freelancers.

Gareth originally trained in scientific illustration and worked as a medical artist at Addenbrooke’s Hospital Cambridge, then St Bartholomew’s Hospital London. Following an MA at the Royal College of Art, Gareth worked as a graphics artist at The Daily Express, then at Neville Brody’s Research Studios where projects included development of the Guardian Unlimited website, work with wintersports brand Salomon and Macromedia software. Gareth has exhibited at The London Design Festival, The Photographer’s Gallery and Anti-Design Festival. He also runs an occasional pop-up gallery 59HighStreet with his partner Michelle Thompson.
