Biography / Company Profile:

I am a Cambridge artist who has developed an individual style of my own, creating vibrant original paintings and handmade greeting cards. Inspired by a love of the natural landscape around me, and further afield to the sea, I like to work in a variety of media including oils, ink and watercolour and mixed media. With an intuitive use of colour I create vivid images capturing the essence of being within the landscape, allowing the viewer to be absorbed into the painting.

Colour plays an essential role in my paintings, and I enjoy using a vibrant palette to bring clarity of colour and depth of texture. The sea and water continues to be a dominant theme in my work, drawing inspiration from different locations – from the Norfolk coast to Cornish waters and overseas to tropical islands.  From many water studies I have produced a collection of more abstract artworks, which explore my response to movement, light and reflections.

I am an Art & Design Ba (Hons) graduate, and a member of Cambridge Open Studios. I regularly exhibit at galleries and art events across the region. My work is available at The Darryl Nantais Gallery, Linton, and various Cambridge shops stock my greeting cards. My clients include both private and corporate collectors. For more information please visit my website for forthcoming events.

As well as producing my own collections of paintings I work on commissioned pieces too. If you are interesting commissioning a painting please contact me to discuss your requirements.
